This page contains information about computer software we believe
to be of great interest to many visitors of our website
With the proliferation of computer related uses, from boat navigation,
email communications, photo storage, document repositories (user
manuals, etc) and not even considering the plethora of social networking
sites (such as Facebook, Twitter, etc) the computer has become an
integral part of our lives.
We don't profess to be computer geniuses or gurus, we are people that
are trying to live life to the fullest without being bogged down or
slaves to our computers. For this you need reliable and useful software
at affordable cost to the end-user. With so much garbage software out
there, it is a big challenge to come up with the right software package.
The computer is a great tool, but you need to back away from it now and
again, meet and talk to people face to face, take a break and head to a
coffee shop (for coffee, not to browse the internet!) or just take
 a
walk, explore and enjoy what surrounds you.
The Mad Dogs have used computers since the days of DOS 3.0 - those were
the days of 10 MB hard drives, no mouse, monochrome (amber) screens and
stacks of 5 1/4" floppy disks (the dark ages)! With the current volume of available
programs & utilities it becomes impossible to figure out what is
worthwhile and what is worthless.

Utility programs for your computer are a dime a dozen - but finding ones
that are useful and useable is something different. Flash Renamer from
RL Vision is one of the utilities that clearly fall in the very useful
category!

VueScan is a favorite of the Mad Dogs and in use on a regular basis on
Mad Dog Voyager for all of our scanning needs! We find Vuescan simply the best scanning software on the planet! Forget about the clumsy
& difficult
software that came with your scanner, VueScan is much easier to use and much
more superior for the
novice or professional user alike!
